Vintage OSSI SKIWEAR Women's Size M Lavender & Purple Ski Jacket with Stripes - Pre-Owned.
This pretty vintage OSSI Skiwear women's insulated ski jacket is from the early 1980s and well-made.  It is the puffy style, but it is not heavy when you pick it up and it does keep you warm.
It was briefly worn, very clean, and is in excellent condition.  The outer front zippered pockets have white flannel lining that is not discolored.  The outer front left pocket also has a metal piece stitched inside to attach gloves to (see photo).  There is one interior pocket, on the left side, that has a hook-and-loop closure (it's a small square closure, so the pocket doesn't seal completely--see photo).  All the zippers work properly.  There are no stains or tears.
The jacket also has a smaller ribbed collar within the larger collar, and the ribbed portion matches the cuffs.  The same-style ribbed band along the bottom of the jacket has some minor pilling (see photos).  These ribbed pieces are elasticized, so they have some stretch to them.
The jacket has three horizontal stripes that appear on the front and back of the jacket (a purple stripe with a light-gray stripe above and below it), but underneath the arms, only part of the middle purple stripe and the bottom light-gray stripe appear because of the sleeve (see photo).  The collar and zipper guard are the same shade of purple as the purple stripe.
The inside lining is more of a mauve-lavender color.  It is a subtly different color--this difference is not the result of fading or other discoloration.
There is a tiny (pinprick-sized) lavender mark that is on the back of the jacket, below the collar (zoom in on the photo of the back of the jacket and you can see the small dot).  It is probably from manufacturing, as it has always been there.
Vintage clothing sizes usually run smaller, so please refer to these dimensions (see photos as well):
Width
(OUTER dimension, measured around the bottom stripe): approximately 40"
Sleeve
(OUTER dimension, measured at the TOP of the sleeve, from the seam at the bottom of the collar to the end of the cuff): approximately 28.5" (this is a curved part, so the measurement is not exact)
Length
(measured from the top of the inside lining, right above the label, to the bottom of the front of the jacket): approximately 23"
NOTE:
The back of the jacket is slightly shorter: approximately 22".  This length was measured in the same way as the previous measurement of the front's length.
The care label, sewn under the left side interior pocket, reads that the jacket should be hand-washed in cold water and hang-dried.  NEVER use a hot iron.  Dry cleaning is permissible, but use only reputable professional cleaners.  The jacket should be also be  treated periodically for water repellency.  Do NOT use a detergent that contains a bleaching agent, especially hydrogen peroxide.
