The son went to film school and father is a veteran with the historical passion, so together they assembled the content of Campbell Films.     A Great collection of Arctic and the Antarctic films! After WW2, there was much Research and Development on both Poles of the earth. Multiple Countries setup research bases on the Poles. The North Pole was mostly US and Canada because of the Russian threat and the South Pole was a mixture multi Nations. working on the research on the Antarctic continent. These films show what it like to get there and to sustain life on these very COLD regions. For the US, it cost back then, over 1 million dollars apiece just to keep one man there. It was and still is very important outpost.
    1st Film: "Oceanographers on the Polar regions". This film is a US Navy film about the different types of research that is being conducted on both regions. Beautiful footage of the Regions and great shots of living there. There are Ships, Submarines, Research areas, and Icebreakers. Well worth watching. Runtime 28:49 Min's
    2nd Film: "USAF 90 Degrees South". This film is USAF film on supplying the Men at the poles. Mostly by C-130's and shows research men working, sled dogs, wildlife etc. Great film. Runtime 27:23 Min's
    3rd Film: "Foothold on Antarctica". This is a British film about a trip to the Antarctic. This was the 1st commonwealth trans-arctic expedition to set a base on the Wendell sea. This film is the actual footage of the trip and is narrated. Filmed in 1957, it is a great piece of history. Runtime 21:12 Min's
    4th Film: "Icebreaker Newsreels". This 3 newsreels of Ice breakers sailing at the North Pole. Runtime 8:49 Min's
