    This is a VERY RARE near-MINT 16mm LOW FADE LPP COLOR print of “IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT”, a 1967 United Artists release, directed by NORMAN JEWISON, starring SIDNEY POITIER and ROD STEIGER. This ACADEMY AWARD WINNER for BEST PICTURE and BEST ACTOR (ROD STEIGER) is both a powerful look at race relations and an enormously compelling murder mystery. Print is in perfect shape, with no major lines or splices and no vinegar. The non-fading LPP COLOR is outstanding, and so is the sound. WARREN OATES and LEE GRANT co-star. QUINCY JONES provides the atmospheric score, and RAY CHARLES sings the memorable title song. There’s also brilliant cinematography by the great HASKELL WEXLER. This is the COMPLETE FULL-LENGTH FEATURE, mounted on three 1600 ft. reels. One of the truly great OSCAR WINNERS of the 1960’s, and a very desirable collectible in 16mm.
