    Description

Limited edition print (237/500), signed print of a steam engine by Maurice Harvey (1928-2019).
Hand signed and numbered in the lower right corner.
Harvey is a well recognized artist, trained in England where he later worked for a time, then he had a stint in Canada where he produced a series of commissioned paintings for the Centennial, and then he settled in the Carmel, California area where he became especially known for his landscapes.  However, his subject matter was broad and he produced a few railroad related works, such as this.
I believe this is the Chesapeake and Ohio (C&O) Greenbrier (also referred to as Northerns) 4-8-4 J-3a #610 steam engine manufactured by the Lima Locomotive Works.  It appears to have all the correct design elements (angled marker boards flanking a central top front bell, engine number in the center front of the boiler, headlight below, etc.).
The print is about 24" x 18" and in mint condition.
Excellent addition to your decor or as a gift to a train enthusiast.
