An inside-baseball story accompanies this listing. Back when I worked in the LIRR's once-small Public Relations Department, Paul Rigby penned this great cartoon after one of the LIRR's major days of rush hour delays. Walter Schlager, LIRR president, walked into the PR Department the following morning and said I want to put that cartoon on my office wall. We called Rigby and he sent an autographed blowup to the boss. I wish had that original. But we sent Rigby's stat to our print shop and had a bunch of these posters printed as a reminder to us all that "The Best Public Relations Is Running the Trains On Time", the title of my autobiography. This one is in excellent condition with light foxing on the edges and a light crease on the left side.
