    Brief History: Postal Kiosks
After various trials, the USPS initiated use of the "Automated Postal Centre" (APC) postal kiosks on April 14th 2004. Towards the end of 2011, they began the conversion of these postal kiosks to the new "Self-Service Ship and Mail Centre" (SSSMC) with changes in equipment, menu options and selection screens. In mid-November 2014, the USPS renamed their postal kiosks as "Self-Service Kiosks" (SSK) and on the vended stamps replaced the text APC with SSK. Collectively, the vended postage from these postal kiosks became known as "Computer Vended Postage" (CVP).
Some people are using the term "Automated Teller Machine" (ATM), a device enabling customers to perform a transaction without the need for a human clerk.
    Brief Info: Postal Stamp Error
The term "Postage Stamp Error" is used to describe any glitch in the intended appearance of the stamp caused by a printing failure. It is an unintentional deviation from the normal stamp.
The philatelic value of a Postal Stamp Error is defined by its visual appeal and relative scarcity. The more visible the printing mistake, the more chance for the stamp to sell at a high price. Stamps with printing errors are strongly coveted by collectors. Stamp "Errors, Freaks and Oddities" (EFO) is the term referring to all kinds of things that go wrong when producing postage stamps.
