The Crystal Bay Club casino is located in north Lake Tahoe, Nevada.  It opened for business in 1956 and operated until it filed chapter 13 and closed in 2002.  The casino was purchased and reopened in 2003.
This rarely offered Crystal Bay Club slot machine token
is the "
TYPE 1
" variation and was made by the
Letcher Mint "
LM
".  This variation does not bear the "LM" mint mark stamp.  The token
measures approximately 1-7/16" in diameter.
The outside perimeter of the token has a fully reeded edge much like the U.S. silver dollar does.  Both sides of the token are deeply embossed.
The token looks to be in good condition for being 41 years old and will display nicely.  The token's surface is clean and very easily readable but it does have surface blemishes and numerous scratches from normal handling and use.  This token is a genuine piece of Lake Tahoe, Nevada history and is rarely offered for sale.  This token "
