CE1 Air Mail Special Delivery EFO misperforation (crazy perf) selvage fold-over.

Description

CE1 Air Mail Special Delivery EFO misperforation (crazy perf) was created from a top selvage fold-over before it was perforated.
All CE1 "crazy perf" pieces are considered "rare" compared to the ones on the 1936 CE2 issue.  The CE1 issue had a total printing of 9,215,750 stamps or 184,315 sheets of 50 stamps.  The CE2 had a total printing of 72,517,850 stamps or 1,450,357 sheets of 50 stamps which is 8 times greater than the CE1 issue.  That makes it 8 times harder to find a CE1 crazy perf item compared to those on the CE2 stamp.  This ratio of 1 to 8 is validated by my accumulation and collection of CE1 and CE2 crazy perf items.
This rare CE1 crazy perf single is MNH and in Fine condition.
It was a showpiece in my "U.S. Air Mail Special Issues of 1934-1936" exhibit which won 3 Grand Awards, 4 Reserve Grand Awards and only known exhibit to achieve the record of winning 30 different APS WSP Gold Medals during its exhibit competition from 2003 to 2014.
This lot is "only" for the CE1 left top corner single.  Its companion plate block of 6 (as shown in the photos) is offered in another auction lot.
