    Description

This portrait is restored from a 1920's era advertisment print. It is printed on matte cardstock photo paper with Canon inks guaranteed for 100 years without fading
The Chicago, Burlington & Quincy, known as the Burlington Route, was a midwestern railroad connecting Chicago, St. Louis and other midwestern industrial towns from its numerous agriculture markets down to Texas seaports. It began with the Aurora Branch’s charter of 1848 to extensions into Burlington, Iowa and Quincy, Illinois to become the “CB&Q”. Also known as the “Q”, it was famous for its fleet of Zephyr streamliners, modern and sleek stainless steel clad trainsets connecting midwestern cities and towns. The CB&Q merged with the Great Northern and Northern Pacific to form the Burlington Northern Railroad (today’s BNSF).
Text reads: "Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad Is the only route running Pullman 16 Wheel Drawing Room Sleeping Cars in America From Chicago to Omaha"
This classic poster highlights the Pullman drawing room sleeping cars and pullman dining rooms, which would be today’s equivalent of having your own suite in an Airbus-380. Two CB&Q restored Pullman Coaches can today be visited at the “Age of Steam Roundhouse” in Sugarcreek, OH.
This poster comes framed in an 11x17 frame with solid plastic trim with a glass cover and we ship it, so it won't break in transit. Any watermark is only on website photos and not placed on our final prints.
