    2005 Bob Stark Kawasaki Drifter/1953
    Indian
    chief.
    BY FAR ONE OF MY
    FAVORITE
    MOTORCYCLES.
Bob Stark was the son of an old-time Indian dealer, and from high school until his death in 2015 rode an Indian almost daily. His shop, Starklite Cycles in Perris, California, turned out world-class restorations, carried an extensive line of mail-order parts and housed Stark's collection of 50-plus Indians. Stark's modifications to the Drifter were simple but effective – a scalloped paint accent and Indian badges on the gas tank, dual 'Chum-Me' seat with chromed grab rail, leather saddlebags, retro running lights, headlight shroud and, of course, a lighted chief's head on the front fender. Finishing touch is the Indian dealer logo and Bob Stark's name on the
    right-side
    panel.

    STEEL BUFFALO MOTORS PRIVATE COLLECTION
    I have
    decided to
share some of my bikes with you.  That's years of sourcing and loving the Gilroy Era Indians.  It's a way of life for me.  I've been investing countless hours and traveling to collect these magnificent bikes.   I'm not a dealer, just a collector.     As long as I'm around, I'll cherish and promote the Gilroy Era Indians.
Naturally, I'm a big fan of the Original Indians; these started my love and passion for the Indian motorcycles (Also 'blame' it on Steve McQueen). Just the history of Indian Motorcycles, the first American bike, is magnificent--from the racing era to its transformation for the War era, and civil life.  "Indian motorcycle is the real deal; anything in between is just a motorcycle".  Some would argue, but that's my opinion.
Another one of my favorites are the king Mountain Indians Era.
The Polaris Indian Gen are pretty looking bikes with advance engineering, which places today's Indian on top of the chart.   Well done.
I source and choose my bikes very carefully.
It brings me pleasure to share my Indians with you, and to see them go into a new TLC home.
Last photo on the roster shows the gallery and some of the Indian
