1980 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe L48Viva Las Vegas Autos Presents...
This 1997 Chevrolet 2 Door Tahoe LS Mark III Conversion may be one of my all-time favorite automobile stories. First off, everyone LOVES the sport two door sport utility vehicles these days and since their inception as well. They are fun to drive, easy for all “Genders” (PC) to drive. Most important these days, they are becoming sought after collector’s vehicles. No wonder when you see one like this, it just looks cool to look at. But then, to see it enhanced with a Full Custom Mark III Industries Conversion package that included a huge list of upgrades and only 45k original miles is like winning the lottery of 2dr Sport Utility Vehicles.
For those that are not familiar with Mark III Industries originally out of Ocala, Florida throughout the 80s and 90s. Pretty much all of the big US auto manufacturing companies (Ford, GM, Chrysler) all use to send out specific models, mostly vans, and have high-end conversion companies like Mark III and others like Explorer and these companies would perform full customizations of Vans, SUVs and Trucks. Dealers would then sell these conversion vehicles brand new with extreme markups for these full custom packages. I was working for dealers at the time and Van, SUV and truck conversions like these could run a factory base price up 15k to 40K more than the original base price from the factory. This was also at a time that the factories really didn’t dress up their factory vehicles with ultra-lush interiors or any sort of customized paint options. So, this Tahoe LS came from the factory with a host of upgraded LS only options that you will see on the RPO list I’ve provided but Mark III Industries would take this highly optioned SUV to a whole new level of luxury and customization. My historical guess on the original mark up from Mark III on this SUV would probably exceed 20k; half of that may have been in the Chameleon paint by itself. We will talk more about the exterior and interior below. The most important aspect of this SUV is the show quality original condition from bottom to top that this two door Tahoe is still in. I’ll never call any used vehicle “Flawless” unless it was just restored yesterday and never driven, but you will see shortly the absolute stunning SHOW Quality condition that this SUV is in and incredible low miles that are almost unheard of for a 24 year old automobile.
First of all, you are not getting JUNK! So eBay cheapskates!!! Go look for your cheap junk elsewhere! This 1997 Chevrolet 2 Door Tahoe LS Mark III Conversion is exceptional in every way. From the top to bottom, and everywhere in between, it's ready to be enjoyed without reservation. If you want to drive it daily or keep it for just those special occasions, this Tahoe is ready for either. If you were here to walk around the SUV for an up close inspection, you may not even see as clearly as you will in the 218 images I have posted. Then open up the doors, hood and trunk to look at all the details and exceptional conditions you find them in...And it doesn't stop there. Drop down underneath and see a rust free floors and undercarriage that’s highly detailed without damage or rot. Now that you have probably seen all the images and you are back to read every word I have to say about the SUV, I know you are very serious about finding the right 2dr Tahoe for the right deal.
I have been selling spectacular autos on eBay for 19 years and that means I don't OVER-PRICE my autos. But! I also can't stand Low-Baller idiots that can't see the value in quality. Read my 19 years of feedback to be convinced that what I show and write is always spot on. You will appreciate my candor and thorough display of what you might be the future owner of. There are 218 pictures and our video that I know you will want to explore before placing a bid or calling me to make your deal before the end of the auction. Sending me an email through eBay asking for my bottom line will just irritate me, so don't. If you do, I will know you didn't even read the presentation. EVERY SERIOUS BUYER ALWAYS READS EVERY WORD.
You, my serious buyers, You are Awesome! Thank you for being real people looking for great cars and a great seller who appreciates you as another car enthusiast like me.
Talk to you soon. 702-353-7500 Doug

Exterior...
Ok, I think we have your attention if you are still reading and starring at the first 9 images of this beautiful 1997 Chevrolet 2 Door Tahoe LS Mark III Conversion. As you can see so far, the exterior is in exceptional condition with only minor front bumper blemishes (touched up chips). The all original body is in excellent condition front to rear having never been in an accident and most importantly; this 2dr Tahoe has always been fully serviced and garage kept. You will be able to see in the hundreds of published pictures that I don't hide anything. The minor flaws and small chips are not over looked or hidden from view; although you are obviously not going to see any that seriously distract for the overall beauty of this Tahoe. The Paint is all original to the car without a repaint anywhere we could find. The finish is shinny like new still. The only notable blemishes that really don't stand out or glare at you are the front bumper has minor chips that we touched up with matching paint. There are no dings around the entire body; it’s literally ding free. One of the most incredible aspects of the exterior is the exquisite Chameleon Pearl Paint Finish. For those that know about Chameleon Pearl Paint Finishes, the paint alone IS the most expensive paint product on the market. Just go to any reputable paint shop (most can’t even paint this finish) and ask how much a gallon of paint would cost. It’s like liquid gold. Technically it’s metallic pearl finishes are made in such a way that the pearl colors within the metallic finish lay a certain direction (I’m guessing from polarity) so that as you walk around the vehicle the colors dramatically change nearly to opposite colors. In this SUV’s case, from a vivid blues, to purples, to browns, to coppers, then to golds. In sunlight, these color changes are simply spectacular in every direction. Laid over top of the factory Dark Cherry metallic finish, it is just pure art. If you question how expensive it is to get this finish, just take this ad to a local paint shop and ask them what they would charge to repaint a finish like this. A five figure response will be your answer. It’s also the reason for the low miles found on this SUV. Our last owner had this Tahoe for over ten years and didn’t put two thousand miles on it in that time. He told me that it made him way to nervous to drive it (other than to car shows) because he didn’t want to blemish the paint.
The exterior will not need any repairs to fully enjoy the already exceptional condition it is in. But if you are looking for “Flawless” well I would suggest going to your local Chevrolet dealer and buying a 2021 SUV for 90k these days. If you are looking for an EXCEPTIONAL 1997 Chevrolet 2 Door Tahoe LS Mark III Conversion for a whole lot less than a 2021 SUV 2dr and you can see in our presentation the extreme quality that is there, then by all means, let’s talk about your fair offer and make this purchase a reality for you.
Let's stare at some more images again...
Interior...
When you open the doors to this 1997 Chevrolet 2 Door Tahoe LS Mark III Conversion, you will instantly see that its prior owners took exceptional care both inside and out without question. Door panels, dash, seats and carpet are all in exceptional condition with only the slightest wear from brand new. The interior has so many cool upgrades from Mark III Industries. All the real wood applications are solid wood, not laminates. They all look perfect. The additional Mark III options like the Radar detector and interior LED lights all work perfect. The Sound System was a big upgrade too. The fog lights in the air damn out front function like new. The really cool…and hot…cup holders are way neat. I put a room temperature bottle of water in the driver’s side and 15 minutes later, it was ice cold. They will also heat up too; keep your coffee warm if you like. Both work like a charm. Mark III Industry’s conversions always included fully upgraded seat foam and padding, top level leathers, upgraded carpets and padding under the carpets. The LED lights inside just set a nice ambiance within the cabin. .
The interior isn’t just clean though, it really appears like new. I know the last owner didn’t have kids and no one had ever been in the rear seat. The cargo area still appears like new and functions like new too. Spare has never been on the ground. Headliner perfect, no chips in the windshield…even the rechargeable flashlight still charges and works like new. The miles are verified on Carfax too. We’ve posted a copy of the Carfax here too. The only issue there is a “damage report” when the vehicle was new that I believe is an error. There isn’t any repaint anywhere that we can see on the SUV. There also isn’t any evidence of repairs or existing damage from top to bottom anywhere. Carfax is known to make clerical errors and I would certainly call this one.
Drivetrain...
When I bought this Tahoe from the second owner, I always sit down with an owner and find out about their service history with their automobiles. Our second owner had only driven this Tahoe less than 2000 miles over the 10 years he owned it. He lived in central Nevada in a quaint little town that he claimed everyone there drove around with the cars and trucks covered in mud from off road driving. He was so discouraged with driving around town with a near perfect custom paint finish and having some mud ridden driver in front of him drop a pile off their car and ruin his paint. And when you see this paint you will understand his concern. More importantly, he actually did service the truck despite the low miles. He would charge the AC often to make sure it didn’t lose pressure, change the oil every six months whether the miles had changed or not. .
After I made the purchase, I had a 500 mile trip ahead of me back to Las Vegas. My follow up driver behind me, we scooted off towards Las Vegas from his little town near Elko Nevada. Performance was flawless. Functionality was flawless. I filled up in Wells Nevada and arrived home with just over a quarter tank of gas still left. I was pretty impressed to say the least. Lucky for me, no additional rock chips either. Service history car be seen on a regular basis on the Carfax so refer to that document to see it’s service history. On a drivetrain basis though, I would drive this any distance any time without hesitation. She’s knee deep in tires that look like new still. There are no signs of damage on the wheels or tires. Brakes look like brand new as you will be able to see in the pictures. We also did a full thorough inspection under the Tahoe and there are no apparent leaks or seepage anywhere you can inspect. Please look at the undercarriage images too. This SUV is a first for me that I have not even seen surface rust anywhere to be found. It literally looks like it just came off the showroom floor underneath. Wow!!! Try to find a perfect undercarriage on ANY SUV that’s 24 years old. Amazing!!!!
The Facts & The Documented History...
When it comes to the history and documents, we know that the owner who had it bought it on March 8th, 2012 with 43,358 miles on it. We bought it nearly 10 years later with 44,947 miles on it when I picked it up. Barely 1589 miles over nearly 10 years. The original first owner bought it in Ooltewah, Tennessee on January 23, 1998. Took that owner 14 years to put 43k miles on it. I am sure that owner won many car shows for Best Paint awards. Our second owner even had the body and steering shaft lubricated back in 2012. Although there isn’t a lot of history on this Tahoe, I am certain that those who have seen it, never forgot it. It is not like it is a run of the mile Tahoe. This is truly a ONE OFF factory authorized customization from a known company that converted thousands of automobiles throughout the 80s and 90s.

Viva Las Vegas Autos Note from the Owner...
I am a “used car dealer” but before that, I’m an automobile enthusiast. I love original, rare and high quality modified vintage and modern cars. Over the past 19 years I’ve been in business, I have come to appreciate an expanding selection of high-demand, high value vehicles as well. I specialize in and I am always on the lookout for cars and trucks that were cherished by their previous owners.
I have an experienced eye for quality and I’ve discovered that my preferred buyers can instantly discern such a vehicle and I have therefore, built my business and reputation around finding these kinds of cars for this type of customer. Super low miles and/or gentle ownership are strict requirements but a car must do something for me on a personal level if there is any hope of convincing you, the buyer, that this is an above average, exceptional vehicle. If nothing about the car excites me, it probably won’t do much for you either and I would soon be out of business.
With just four employees and no sales people, I realize how unusual a “dealership” like mine may be at a first glance. It has taken great care and effort to create such an organization and often, an unusually high investment in a particular car we are about to list. To sell the best it is critical to have a trusted expert in my corner. First we do an exhaustive 130 point inspection on each and every vehicle and hope nothing escapes our methodical investigation. Experience has shown that everything I spend making a car truly “right” will come back to me not only with a higher selling price, but a happy customer that says good things about Collector's Dream Cars. Moreover, it allows us to describe the car with ease and confidence, something that simply is not possible unless we think it is true. If major issues are found or the cost of fixing the car the way it should be makes it too expensive to sell, my choice is an easy one. I simply absorb a few hundred dollars loss for my trouble and sell it at auction so you don’t get a headache over the vehicle.
After the vehicle is fully checked over and made whole at any level it needs to be, we researches its history, documents, documenting originality and authenticity. Historical significance, rarity, special features, possible modifications, and much more are used to accurately describe the vehicle with integrity and honesty. Most important for the potential buyer are the 100 to 200 high resolution pictures that I take myself. The pricey equipment I use would be right at home in the hands of the very best professional photographers and I’ve developed a logical format that walks you around the entire vehicle with close-up shots of every square inch. I provide detailed views of the interior, under the hood and then put it on a lift to show the undercarriage and confirm that the beauty of the car you are considering is not merely skin deep. Even our detailers are enthusiastic about the cars they meticulously clean. Reconditioning can sometimes take several days as we do all that we can within reason to get our vehicles in tip top condition visually and cosmetically. We do Way more than just a cheap detail. Our details are more like refurbishing to as close to new as we can possibly get our vehicles.
Usually, I’ll also include a high definition video that shows the car doing its thing. If it’s a fast car, we film it going fast. If it’s a 4x4 you’ll see it crawling up a hill. In every case you will hear things like a rumbling exhaust, working sound system and watch gauges operation as well.
No “dealer,” on-line or in the real world, takes it to this level. No other seller or organization provides you, the buyer, with so much information. I do this because it is the only way I can convince a person; often a world away, unable to touch or feel their purchase that my vehicle is for real and what I say is an honest assessment. All the above is necessary for me to stay in business while keeping integrity intact. I want every buyer to be happy and I need glowing feedback on eBay. To accomplish that I need satisfied customers that are as thrilled with their purchase as I was when I bought it.
If you have any questions at all, please call me on my cell at: 702-353-7500. If your inquiry is sincere and your offer is serious, you’ll find me the most accommodating business partner you’ve ever dealt with. If you call or e-mail asking for my reserve or “what is my bottom line” I will be looking for ways to politely end the conversation. Until you are ready to actually make an offer, I will happily quote you a liberal suggested retail price – a number we both know will not buy the car so, don’t waste your time, or mine. I am after all, a “used car dealer.”
