1974 Dodge Dart Swinger

Description

'74 Dodge Dart Swinger ... Originally a 318 2bbl automatic car now has a 73 340 w/ 5 speed (T5). Edelbrock, Holley, MSD, Soft-Touch rev control, purple shaft cam, headers, engine oil cooler, hydraulic clutch, power steering. The A/C system is all new from the firewall forward. The brakes were upgraded to the 12'' Chrysler rotors. Other features include, roll bar, frame connectors, suspension fully rebuilt with all poly bushings (front &rear). Also Addco 1-1/8'' front sway bar & custom rear sway bar and 4.10 gears. KYB Gas-adjust shocks. Car has 6 speaker stereo w/ 2-10 sub & amp that kicks and an electric antenna. The interior now has super comfortable Accord seats, a console with cup holders!!! and the parking brake has been relocated to the console area (like a modern car). Rear seat folds down to access the amplifier, which has 2 channels left, you could add another set of speakers. Additional gauges are tachometer, oil pressure & engine oil temp.
The car has a few custom touches done. The big side marker lights it had were removed and the much cooler '68 markers were added. The mirrors were replaced and relocated with Impala sport mirrors. The rear wing w/ 3rd brake light is from an Iroc Z28. The tail lights were re wired , so the original reverse lights have amber bulbs and are the turn signals now. There are two driving lights under the bumper for reverse, throws a lot of light to the rear. The larger amber front running/turn lights from a Duster were added to the stock grille.
These changes make her one of a kind!
Every thing in the car works except the speedo ( it's not  the speedo or the cable). The body work & paint could be a little better, it was the first time for me. But the car never fails to turn heads. She's streetcar not a showcar or trailer queen.
