16MM CLASSIC TV- “ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS” WITH ORIGINAL COMMERCIALS 1959

Description

This auction is for a 16MM film containing a complete 30 minute episode of the legendary TV show “Alfred Hitchcock Presents”.  This episode, which originally aired on May 31, 1959, is entitled “The Dusty Drawer”, and it stars Dick York, who later went on to star as Darrin Stephens on the show “Bewitched”. As always, Alfred Hitchcock introduced the show. Here is a summary of the episode from IMDb:
“A professor is convinced his boarding housemate (a bank teller) stole 0 from his bank deposit; the teller vehemently denies it. He wants his money back, and employs a series of pranks to challenge the teller’s sanity - but to what end?”
This film is a wonderful network print with all the original commercials, including those for Bufferin, Ipana toothpaste, and Miss Clairol hair color bath.
The B&W picture is very good (see actual screen shots), the sound is strong, the film runs smoothly, and there is no vinegar smell. The film is complete with beginning titles and end credits. Total running time is approximately 28 minutes.

UPDATE: I erroneously wrote that the film includes beginning titles, but it actually begins with Hitchcock introducing the show. The film is complete as described in all other respects.
