    MORE ABOUT THIS PRINT:
    TITLE:
"CBS REPORTS" The Balance of Terror: In Case of War
    Starring:
Howard K Smith as the Reporter
    Plot:
The first of a two-part series on war and disarmament. New York Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller and New Jersey Governor Robert B. Meyner participate.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This is an interesting print that shows the response of Americans towards fear that a Bomb could also strike them like once happened in Hiroshima. Some speak about building bunkers or their children's safety. It even goes into a segment where parents have to explain nuclear weapons to children and the reasons people may want to kill them! This film says it is sponsored by XEROX which goes on to have a very long advertisement! The advertisements come back a second time later on. There is also printed in as a Kinescope, JFK giving a speech to America. On the leader it says it is the "opening" and the film runs around 500-600' which would make sense since the entire film is 1hr long. This is complete with original heads and tails, so it is not cut short, but for some reason it is only the opening printed. Still there is a lot to digest in this opening. Loud and clear sound on original Kodak Stock Code: Triangle, Triangle (1981 reprint).
    LENGTH:
    ~500-600' mounted on a reel. (17 mins)
    VS:
    No

    LAST NOTE
Most of these films have inspected and photographed before they were projected. Some of them were dusty, so please excuse the dust you may see on the light-box. Because of the volume, I may not have had the chance to fully project every film, though I really try to. If you have specific questions about the print, please do not hesitate to ask as these prints are being sold as Is. I will not be able to accept returns. These items will be shipped by media mail. If you would like a different shipping method please inform me before paying and I will send you an updated invoice for the difference in price.
    Thank you, and Good Luck!
